Black women like Fannie Lou Hamer, Victoria Gray and Annie Devine used their resources and fight to galvanize an entire country that mostly saw them as disposable. It’s hard to put into words what it was like to write about these women as I watched Black women continue that fight in real time.

Absolutely, I love studying Fannie Lou Hamer. She was so strong and fought so valiantly against voter suppression. They beat her and threw her in jail. She suffered to make changes.
Black women are still working hard. As you said, women like Stacy Abrams are carrying the mantle forward.
I agree that Black men can play a big role in making change for us. We need our Black men. The good ones have to check the ones who don't respect us.
