Both parties will rebuild after 2020. The Republicans have to reach across the aisle to nonwhite constituents to survive in America whose population becomes more diverse year by year. And you are right about the Democrats. They will need to find something to really around once Trump is gone. However, I think we should also consider that even though Democrats are split between moderates and liberals they all agree on ideology. For example, Joe Biden wants to provide free community college and Bernie wanted free for every type. This indicates that while some want to take the policies further, they are on the same page.
