Exactly. For us, Africa is the motherland and we've been disenfranchised by enslavement. Neither America or a joint group of African nations have tried to rectify the harm caused. It's just really sad. I completely agree with the impulse to consider this cultural appropriation but when it comes to African Americans, we have a different perspective. Thanks so much for reading.
