… pushing an unspoken agenda that unfairly positions the white race as the hegemonic form of beauty. Consider how much shame is heaped upon individuals who lighten their skin for supposedly attempting to “look white,” yet Caucasians regularly tan and spray tan and are never shamed for trying to “look brown” or “look African.”
