Great points made. When I saw her at the award show, I thought she looked amazing. The comments about her being darker than her online persona struck me as strange. I'm also brown-skinned, and my color changes depending on how much time I'm spending outside the lighting of the pictures and numerous other factors. Yeah, I did notice the critique came from the Black community. Colorism is pervaisive, but calling it out helps raise awareness. Thanks for your writing.
