I enjoyed reading your article. It was able to touch on elements of race and its relationship to art and culture. Representation is at the heart of developing a more just society. A culture shift is happening and our stories must be told in furtherance of change.

The title of your article was especially interesting. The Birth of the Nation was such a racist, insane film that criminalized black people while making white people into the protagonists of the American story. Thus, The Rebirth of the Nation will have to tell the real American story. After all, black men fought during the Civil War alongside Northern white men and won.
