I feel it is so important for us to support the voices of Black women directors and writers.

I mentioned that a Black woman directed it because I think that this is very important. You have white directors and writers praised for their voyeuristic views and even material (think lolita) but as soon as a Black woman makes a film about her experience, she gets threatened and blacklisted.
