In public, black inferiority blames blacks in aggregate for the languishing and squalid conditions in the black community. We tolerate these conditions at root, because we as a society believe in black inferiority.

I never thought of it in those terms before but you are absolutely right. Many people blame poor black people for their own poverty instead of understanding that these conditions only exist because of systematic racism. The average black family makes one-tenth of the wealth of a white family. This is by design. Thanks for writing this article.
