I support adding Puerto Rico but for different reasons you mentioned.

They are already a U.S. territory and the United States has failed in the past to provide aid for emergencies. PR is a territory that provides federal tax dollars for the U.S. without getting much in return. So, if we put all the money and politican jargon to the side, it is actually really cruel to stand in the way of statehood. But, that's just my opinion. Thanks so much for writing your story.
