I think absolutism is the wrong way but I understand their perspective in a way you don’t. My husband thinks all white people are against us. To me, the only way to overcome racism is with allies but when you’ve been treated like garbage all your life by white people some are not ready to accept the good in people.

The first time I got called a nigger I was a kid. My brother went to school in Texas and was beaten for being too dark skinned. Everyone in my family has been hit by the police at least once. So even though I have faith in good people, I will not condemn those who have lost hope. All I can do is be the change I want so see in the world.

Instead of getting mad at them for seeing all white people as racist, try to understand the lives we live.
