I think that implicit bias evolved because of the institution of slavery. Once one group started to believe they were physiologically and psychological more advanced than Afrocentric people, abusing them became easy. Thus, even young children have bias because as you say, they are taught this early in life.

Overall, I believe that bringing awareness about this implicit bias will bring about change. When people look into one another's eyes when speaking, it helps them to avoid bias.

You are right. Bias does not indicate someone has low moral caliber, it just means they are most likely unaware of the biases they hold.
