I think your article made some good points. But you did not address the role feminism played in maintaining racism. That’s my reason for being a womanist and not a feminist. Many black women take issue with the movement, and black men for similar reasons. If feminism meant equalities that would be great but that’s not the history we’re dealing with. Just wanted to add some context to another reason people keep their distance from feminism.
