I've condemned Hamas time and time again, and am not an apologist. However, I feel that no one should be an apologist for the Israeli government's decision to kill Palestinian civilians. I think it's our responsibility to condemn all war crimes, not just those targeting Jewish people, or Black people.
My heart goes out to Jewish people who were persecuted in Europe, and forced to flee, but I am not someone who can justify them displacing Palestinians, which is what occurred, historically. You called them hostile neighbors without discussing why these hostilities exist--because of the Israeli occupation.
If there is a book or two you want to recommend that would provide me with the context you claim I'm missing, I will add them to my reading list. I'm not trying to cause harm, but I am trying to say colonialism is wrong, and if you agree, then we can't justify it, we have to seek to decolonize, which would mean granting civil rights, and human rights to Palestinians. We can condemn terrorism without lumping civilians in with them (Biden did this yesterday), simply for having the same nationality any more than we should lump in all Jewish people or Israelis in with the extreme behaviors of their government.
