Karen is a term used to finally, at long last, dismiss the illegitimate outcries form white women who oppress Black people.

The term has taken a life of its own. But it is not a good faith argument to take the few who are using it to be sexist assholes, and then to dismiss the way of the term.

Before the use of the term, "Karen" Black people never had a word that perfectly captured the torture waged against us by white women, purporting to be afraid.

A white woman did this to me before. She threatened to call the police on my friends and I for using a community pool. My mother lives across the street and we had every right to be there. She did not want our Black bodies in the pool and she used her white privilege to bully us.

Until white women start being harsh on the ones who abuse their privilege, the term will continue to be used to bring about the change needed.

Claiming that "Karen" is a sexist term is a horrible attempt to dismiss the cries of injustice and prejudice by white women.
