Modern standardized tests use the same method of standardization as IQ tests. It is a method, not a test type. I think that reform is important. That is all. For example, if a student has As and Bs, they can still be denied entry to a college because of their scores. So that kind of undermines your counterpoint about being able to read and write. If students can make good grades at their school, why should a fallible test block their opportunities going forward?
