My point was not that every Black person uses AAVE. Rather, that we should not be scrutinized for using it. I spoke about the origins of the English variant but in no way implied that every Black person uses it. I am very well aware that Black people come from all walks of life and are not homogenous. Implementing AAVE in writing would be a critical step in accepting this variant.
