Using sodomy as a disciplinary tool has always negatively impacted Black men. Within our community, many Black men further elements of homophobia but no one ever talks about why. Sexual assault has been used as a method for controlling Black men and acknowledging the difference between rape and consensual, healthy homosexual relationships. I hope many read your writing.
