Our defensiveness comes from our humanity. I see their preferences as colorism. They are perpetuating the idea that somehow Black women are not good enough. They cannot admit that even though they themeselves have been oppressed, they have acted as the opppressor, mocking that behavior as if it will give them some distance. Thanks for writing about this.
