Right, but if that's the case, which Arabs were once enslavers in many places of the world so this has merit, then do two wrongs make it right?
Trying to restore all Indigenous people back to their respective parts of the world is rather illogical, from my family tree's perspective. I have British, French, Spanish enslavers, Indigenous tribes from the Americas and African enslaved people. Where would my ancesteral land be? See, why this type of logic is problematic and only leads to displacement, forced migration, racial and ethnic division, and war?
In other words, why is it okay to ever excuse colonization? African men have led genocides, yet I would never imagine justifying it simply because our people have been oppressed. Wrong is wrong, and I hope to one day live in a society where we are not attached to the decisions of yesteryear, where we can treat people equally because it's the right thing to do, and abandon any justifications based solely on identity. That's just my two cents anyway. I enjoyed reading your response.
