Right, but the quote involves "hope". In my paper I said those who want race to be irrelevat must first destroy the white supremacist system because as of now, we are affected by race. Maybe one day we will live in a society in which race does not matter but that is not today's world. Not everyone is a racist. Recognizing race does not make you racist. For example, if you see me you will see a Black woman. I love myself and I love being a Black person. So you seeing me as Black is not offensive. It would be you seeing me for who I am, the intricate struggles, and the fun person I am. So I am trying to change the stigma people have about talking about race. Seeing race does not make someone racist. Ignoring the racial disparities in society makes them racist or hurting people because of their race makes them hateful. Thanks for responding. I appreciate your feedback.
