Thank you for writing such a thoughtful article. This is a discussion worth having because racism America effects each and every minority group. The words you wrote reminded me of some older black people who have discouraged the use of protests to express the pain caused by police brutality.

Some Asian people are racist but some are just shell-shocked. I think that older generations are more fearful of the government and do not think that anything will change by expressing anger or disappointment. However, in America that’s what we do. We march, we protest, and we make change through changing the national conversation on topics we are all passionate about. I respect their feelings but I think we should push forward to fight for the world we know we want to see. Asian, Latin, Natives, and Black people should all be united in our fight for equal rights and justice. That’s my humble opinion on this.
