Thanks so much. I think Emma Lazarus' poem really does add a beautiful quality to the statue, and it shows that America welcomes those looking to start anew. I just think it's unfortunate that most Americans don't know about reason for the gift, and it's because Black liberation has not been cause for celebration in America. Thanks so much for reading.
