The media and our educational institutions white-wash history and always portray them as heroes even when the facts contradict that narrative.

Not only did these women ignore the needs of Black women, they actively fought against our rights. It's a painful truth but an important one.

Every time people start celebrating the women's movement, I feel really uncomfortable by their efforts to lionize women like Stanton and Anthony. These women were racists and I really don't see why we cannot pick better heroes.
