The national conversation about reparations for the families of former slaves is long overdue. While I am happy that North Carolina participated in restorative justice, I wonder whether or not this will transform into a national movement.

I support HR 40. There are already 137 supporters in the House. Weeks ago, there were only 138 cosponsers. We need 218 for it to pass. I hope that people consider whether or not their senators support HR 40.
