The people who feel tired of hearing about racism are privileged. Because racism does not impact them, they’ve grown bored with it. Instead of putting in work, they are backing off.

While I originally joined an anti racism reading group with my old English teacher and some white writers, they abruptly discontinued them about a month and a half ago.

It’s ridiculous. I’m glad you write about race and sorry some of your friends don’t want to hear it. Especially when we consider abuse of any kind, Black women have a unique experience with it. So yes, it’s about race. Thanks so much for sharing your voice 🌷
