The term Native American disrespects their heritage. Their tribes are indigenous because they are the original people of this land. They predate colonialism.

This term refers to all people of color. I don’t see why that is a harmful term at all. All BIPOC attempts to do is unify people whose groups are equally oppressed by white colonists.

There is nothing nefarious about it. Divide and conquer is the name of their game and unity allows us to fight alongside people with similar experiences in a white dominated system. Having an issue with BIPOC is like someone taking issue with LGBTQ+ I really just don’t see any critique of it as legitimate. Not really sure why you oppose this unifying term.

To be clear, no one said the term BIPOC should replace Black or Indigenous; it is used to identify the intersectionality of these groups. That’s it.
