There is a difference between the LGBTQ and Black power movements. They are not one in the same. As I wrote in the paper, that you did not read, our movements have different legislative priorities and accomplishments. It's perfectly normal to notice how some movements punch down on others. You guys act like there are no gay, racist people and it's sad that you guys are holding them up like this, protecting their Whiteness at every turn.

LGBTQ people have always lived in our community but anyone who actually watched Dave's show knows he was not going after Black LGBTQ people. Insisting he is just not authentic in the least.

You are entitled to your opinion but I vehemently disagree with this nonsensical assertion that his words caused harm to the LGBTQ community. Men talk about women's breasts, vaginas, and penises are often compared to hot dogs and other fruits and vegetables. So the idea that trans people are the only ones who can't be made fun of is ridiculous. We need to encourage folks to stay true to themselves and feel comfortable enough.

I think Dave Chapelle proved the LGBTQ community thinks they are beyond reproach.
