Due to the impossibly high standards of the “perfect” sexual assault victim, women are pressured into forcing themselves into an unrealistic and sexist mold of a respectable woman in order to both pursue justice and deflect misogynistic insults and blame for their own assault.

This article makes an excellent point. Society expects women to be perfect and when they are not, they are not seen worthy of justice. We have to continue to fight against this stigma that so often silences women. Thanks so much for speaking out about this cruetly.
