This is a great article because it really makes me think. There is a thin line betwee appreciation and appropriation. I think your studies makes you more qualified than most to appreciate the cultures of other people. I think the art in your home is a beautiful homage to anti-colonialism. However, all white people do not do this tastefully or with the best interest of Black and Indiginous people in mind. So we cannot assume that every person who uses our culture is celebrating us.
