This is a great story because it has so much clarity in it. There are mulitiple definitions for sex. Biological sex and gender identity are two different things. That is the only reason why I push back against attempts to dismiss biological sex as irrelevant. Women and men have different health care outcomes and ignoring that does not benefit society, it obscures identiies instead of acknowledges them. Someone can still identify as nonbinary while still physiologically fitting into male or female biological sex categories.

Gender identity is what someone identifies as but that is completely different from their born sex. Thanks for writing this.
