This was a great article and it was refreshing to hear from Tyler Perry. However, I still have some questiosn about the themes he uses. I think some of the questions were aimed at allowing him to defend himself but didn't delve deep enough into the themes as opposed to the audience.

I respect his right to write for any audience he wants. However, I really dislike some of the themes I see in his films. Black women have been portrayed in troublesome and often binary ways.

However, I really enjoyed reading about his perspetives. He is definitely an incredibly successful black man.
