Tory’s celebrations trigger me as well. It feels like because she is Black, they really act incapable of understanding her pain. They attempt to invalidate it. This summer showed the misogynoir in America is out of control. Thanks so much for writing about her experience. Like you, I don’t understand how anyone can try to justify her abuse.
