We can calmy state the problem. However, when calmness doesn't guarantee success. The movement should respect all expressions of discontent unless they advocate violence. While many people think those who oppose non-violent methods are advocating violence, the truth is much more complicated. Advocates like Malcolm X and Huey P Long never led attacks against white people. They encouraged self defense. However, non-violent activists were much less likely to encourage Black people to defend themselves after being brutalized.

In today's age, if a man hits me, I will defend myself and get help. I won't be slaughtered without a fight and I wouldn't expect anyone else to behave that way either.
