Alcoholism is an illness that develops due to trauma and also some are genetically predisposed to develop addictive behaviors. Poverty is the mother of all crime. Given the fact that the aboriginals were invaded, they lost their socioeconomic power. Therefore, it's the same old trick. They blame Black and Indigenous people for being poor and downtrodden and use their impoverished state as justification for holding them down.
