When it happened to me, I was afraid of telling people. The first person I talked to doubted my story and I lost my strength to proceed. Thanks for bravely telling your story. I'm sorry for what happened to you; you deserve to heal in whatever way you see fit. Shame on them for dismissing you. People think Black women are over sexual and justify all types of physical abuses onto us. Speaking up is how we can begin to move on.
