When someone says, "I don't see color," I get this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. We all see color except for those who are actually color blind. Even they see a spectrum of colors so they understand the difference. When someone says that they do not see color, they are trying to dismiss the idea of racism. Unintentionally, they are perpetuating the idea that race is irrelevant. The problem is that we know it matters. We are treated so differently. I hope many people read this article.
