While I understand that you are not trying to insinuate that black applicants are less qualified, you are. This is how. Your theory of the case doesn't account for the fact that white people are already in so many leadership roles. That is due to their white privelege. So without providing black people opportunities because of their color, how will black people ever make up the wealth gap? Right now, a white family has 10 times the wealth of a black family on average. So may not understand it but by being against affirmative action and supporting the status quo, black people will continue to be at a socioeconomic disadvantage.
