You are right. For me, it's about the money. I have none. My family is living check to check and while the stimulus provided us with funds to buy groceries and pay our utilities, we still don't have money for medical treatments of any kind.

As a Black millenial, I am also afraid of taking something that is so new. I have terrible asthma and even though it may be silly, I am afraid of having an allergic reaction. Years ago, I was supposed to get a panel done to determine what I am allergic to, but I could not afford the specialist.

However, if I had the money, I would likely overcome my fear and take the vaccine. I know how important it is in getting us on the right track. These are really conflicting times. Thanks for writing this thoughtful story.
