We are disadvantaged. Thus our opportunities do not reflect privilege, but a move towards equity.

Getting hired as a diversity hire puts the Black person or person of color is a stressful environment. As you noted, it can get really hostile. My father got threatened while worked offshore because he was Black. This is not a privilege and I'm so happy you wrote this article.
