You are absolutely right that there is a difference between honoring as opposed to superficial celebrations.

I have a Veterans blog, but I am not a Veteran. My cousins served. I am really doing it as a favor for a friend and I am always looking for things to write about to highlight the veteran experience -- they have a small nonprofit. I think I am doing okay but really I'm not.
