Your article did an excellent job of describing the history of Satan and why African spirituality became associated with Satan specifically, and evil generally.

The goal has always been to dehumanize African people in order to persecute them with impunity. In order for white Europeans to participate in the Transatlantic slave trade, they had to first establish the moral inferiority of black people. This article was so interesting to me because it made me think about the connection between demonizing black people and accosting them.
