Your right; you did not use the word dark-skinned. However, most Black women do not have blonde hair. And I agree that the word fair is not only used for blonde women. After all, I used Snow White as an example who is a brunette. While your example highlights the use of the word fair to describe a Black woman, I was writing about the pattern of it’s use. Throughout history, and through it’s definition, I’ve seen it used to describe women with European descent. I appreciate sharing that relevant text; it shows there are exceptions to every rule.
